Water Resources Information System (WRIS)

DCSE was selected by Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) to redevelop its Water Resources Information System (WRIS).

The overall objective for the WRIS redevelopment project was to create a new WRIS that would support District business needs based on an up-to-date technology platform that is adequately supported by selected hardware and software vendors. 

The following modules were developed for SCVWD staff to facilitate in well management life cycle and revenue collection including cash receipts and account payables:

• APN (Assessor Parcel Number) and Name/Address _Parcel Ownership Module
  Well Permitting Module – Tracking Permits, Inspections, Drillers/Consultants Tracking module
• Well Logs Module – Well Construction Data, Geologic Logs
  Facility Registration Module – Includes Wells, Treated Turnouts, Raw Water Turnouts module
• Water Measurements Module – Meter Tracking, Handheld Meter Reading Data Processing, Manual Meter Reads, Read Validation/Adjustments module
• Revenue Collection Module – Groundwater Production, Treated Water Production, Raw water Production, Refund, Prepaid Accounts, Invoicing, Cash Receipts
• WRIS Portal Module – Allow WRIS staff to sign in from three different units (Wells & Water Measurement Unit, Groundwater Management Unit, and General Accounting Unit Unit) with role-based secured web browser.
